# Introduction

SurveyStream is a software product that streamlines core operations of survey management including assignments, messaging, and monitoring of data quality and enumerator performance. SurveyStream's [features](/features_at_a_glance) are based on best practices for data collection in the social sector and are highly configurable across survey contexts.

## How does it work?

SurveyStream integrates with [SurveyCTO](https://www.surveycto.com/), a mobile data collection platform. During data collection, SurveyStream pulls in the incoming data and puts it to immediate use for users who are managing the survey.

## Who can use SurveyStream?

SurveyStream is being developed by [IDinsight](https://idinsight.org) under its [DataDelta](https://idinsight.org/services/datadelta/) initiative. SurveyStream is currently restricted to IDinsight teams. However, we are open to exploring pilots with external organizations.
